Understanding Master Pages

    Hi,
I am working on a master page using sharepoint designer. I would like to show my topnavflyouts by spliting in to two or three columns instead one vertical row (all are same level tags..no sub tags underneath any). For example…I added my url tags in sitemap and copied that in to layouts folder in my server, modified web.config file and edited sharepoint:aspmenu in SPDesigner. What I need is, when I mouseover on a tab in the topnav menu item…I should see those links in a tabular format instaed of all vertaically in one column (my whole page is covered with those links..say around 30). I am wondering whether I should do something in sitemap file or in css.
[this is not heirarchial problem...it is just to show tags as 10 in col1, 10 in col2 and 10in col3 when I mouse over on the tab...to save design surface from the long vertical dropdown flyout]. Real World Example: http://www.microsoft.com/en/us/default.aspx (Partners & customer solutions tab).

I would be glad if you take me out from this issue.
    Thanks..

I’m sorry, but I don’t think this can be solved without a person closely looking at and evaluating your environment. If you wish, I could recommend a couple of very good SharePoint branding consultants who can help you. You can contact me directly here: asif@sharepointelearning.com

    Hi Asif,

The video is good here, but I couldn’t understand how she added the content to the site tat she created, like adding content to that sub site she created..she says something like inherited from SQL…could you please explain me that.

    Thanks
