Sync SharePoint Lists and Libraries with Outlook
-
Microsoft Office Outlook is the application of choice for many people to manage their mail, contacts, tasks, calendars and more. You can connect your SharePoint lists and libraries with Outlook and work directly from that environment. All of your data is synced back into SharePoint as you make changes to it in Outlook (and vice versa). You can also use Outlook to take your documents offline, and synchronize them back as needed.

When editing the document library, Word showed the document was read only. Is there another step to get into edit mode. Also, what happens if another user edits the document when you are disconnected? Is there any conflict resolution?
