It's probably a useful point to highlight that certain things aren't available in standalone installation, one of the big ones being the User Profile Synchronization Service.

I haven't messed with SP and RS integration in 2010 yet Tom. If I do, I'll definitely create a video about it.

Thanks Asif, very helpful video.

I am setting up a 3 server farm (SP2010, SQL2008R2 and SQLRS2008R2) and configuring reporting services integration. The instructions say to install SharePoint as a Web Front End on the Reporting Services Server. However, in the 2010 installation process, I cannot advanced tab and the WFE option to which the instructions refer. Here is the TechNet link I am trying to follow: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa905869(SQL.105,printer).aspx

Am I missing something or has the WFE option been removed from the 2010 installer?

Video on configuring RS integration in 2010 would be super helpful.

Thanks!

The kerberos setup process has not changed, to my knowledge, much from 2007.

I would recommend starting with the process described here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/martinkearn/archive/2007/04/23/configuring-kerberos-for-sharepoint-2007-part-1-base-configuration-for-sharepoint.aspx

Good Luck!

Great. I have to setup my SharePoint 2010 based on Kerberos Authentication. On installation it prompts you to setup SPN accounts in the active directory. Can you shed some light on these SPN accounts and what you need to do in SharePoint 2010 so as Kerberos Authentication is used instead of NTLM.

thanks and keep it up.
