    Videos and DVDs

    Site Subscription vs. Video Package. What’s the difference?

    Video packages address a specific area of knowledge. Rest assured, these video packages have been finalized. No updates will be made to its content later. You will own the content and can watch it offline.

    Site subscription allows you to watch all videos on the site. They can all be watched online, but cannot be downloaded to watch offline. You will not have access to the videos once you are no longer a subscriber.

    How long are your videos?

    Most videos average 10 minutes, however, there are some exceptions. The end user video tutorials are 2 minutes or less for easy consumption by SharePoint end users. The recorded webinar videos are around 65 minutes long.

    Can I download the videos?

    The online videos cannot be downloaded, however if you purchase any of the dvd video packages, you can choose to download the package or receive it on dvd.

    What format are the DVDs?

    The video format is .mp4.

    Will there by any updates to the DVDs?

    No, the DVDs are complete and each focus on a particular subject area. No updates will be made to them in the future.

    When I try to play the video, it shows an error message. Why is that?

    The most likely cause is that a firewall is blocking access to our videos (our videos are hosted with the trusted Amazon Cloudfront system). In many corporate offices system administrators don’t want anyone to watch videos while at work so they block certain ‘ports’. We have found that usually opening up port 1935 does the trick. Make sure the firewall you are behind has this port open.

    Do you have any best practices for viewing your videos?

    To view the videos full screen, click on the full screen button at the bottom right of screen. Also, if you have the latest version of Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome running with the latest version of Flash, you will get the best video experience.

    Where are the videos hosted?

    Our videos are hosted on Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).

     

    Membership and Billing

    How do I change my Credit Card information (billing address, credit card number, expiration date) on file? 

    If you subscribed using a credit card, please contact us and we’ll send you the link to a location where you can safely change your credit card info on file.
    If you subscribed using PayPal, you will need to update your credit card in your PayPal account.

    My credit card expired and I lost access to the site. How do I sign back up?

    You can simply resubscribe with a new subscription.

    My one year subscription expired. How do I renew?

    You can simply resubscribe with a new subscription.

    How do I change my password?

    To change your password, go to the Home page and click on “Manage your Subscription”.

    Can I send you a Purchase Order?

    Yes! If your company handles purchasing via purchase orders, we can accommodate you (for DVD purchases, one year site membership and corporate licensing). We accept purchase orders on official company purchase order letterhead with net-30 day payment terms. Please make sure your purchase order includes all necessary information for order processing, such as shipping and billing address, contact information, etc.

    You can send your purchase order to info@sharepointelearning.com as an attachment (PDF, JPG, TIF, Word doc, etc.). Once received, we will begin processing your purchase order. You do not need to set an account up with us in order to purchase via purchase order. Simply send your PO to us. If we need further information from you, we will contact you.

    Do you offer volume licensing (corporate subscription)?

    Yes, we offer volume licensing and corporate subscription to our video tutorials. Our goal is to help you train all of your SharePoint users (End users, developers, administrators).

    Do you offer discounts to government, education and non-profit institutions?

    Yes, we offer a 10% discount to government, education and non-profit institutions on all single user license DVDs (code listed at bottom of the DVDs page), and our various corporate memberships. For more information on corporate memberships and volume licensing, please contact us.

    I just signed up, but did not get my username and password in the email. Why not?

    Please check your junk email folder. If you don’t find the email there, please contact us.

    How do I cancel my membership?

    We’re sad to see you go and hope that you provide us with some feedback before you do.

    If you subscribed using PayPal, it’s their policy that only the subscriber can cancel using their own account using the following procedure:

    1. Log in to your PayPal account.
    2. Click History at the top of the page.
    3. Find the subscription in your history.
    4. Click the Details link for the subscription.
    5. Click the Cancel Subscription button.

    If you subscribed using your credit card:

    1. Navigate to http://www.sharepoint-videos.com.
    2. Log in to your account.
    3. Click on Manage Your Subscription
    4. From My Memberships section, click Cancel to cancel your subscription.

    Can I login from any computer or am I limited to a single computer?

    You can login to the site from any computer. However, you can only be logged in to one computer at a time.

    Can I view the videos on my tablet computer or mobile phone?

    Absolutely! All tablet computers (iPad, Xoom, etc) and mobile devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, Android devices etc) are supported.

     

    Shipping and Downloading

    How long after a dvd purchase will I receive my order?

    At the time of your purchase you will choose either to ship or download your DVD. If you choose the shipping option, you will receive a confirmation email within 6 business hours (EST) with the tracking number of the DVD shipment. The order will ship the next business day and if you are located within the continental United States, you will receive your order within 4-6 business days. International orders will take longer. If you choose the download option, you will receive the download link within 6 business hours (EST) of placing your order.
